We offer free and part funded courses and qualifications to support jobseekers, those not in employment and those who are in employment to achieve nationally accredited qualifications, ranging from Entry Level 3 up to Level 3.

ITQ Level 1

Level: Level 1

This Course will cover:

  • IT User Fundamentals

  • Security for IT users

  • IT Communication Fundamentals

  • Using the Internet

  • Using Email

ITQ Level 2

Level:  Level 2

This Course will cover:

A range of skills and knowledge in the use of ICT applications. A Level 2 user can make use of predefined or commonly used IT tools for activities that are at times non-routine or unfamiliar, they will be able to devise solutions to use IT tools to improve productivity.

Functional Skills Maths

Levels: Entry Level 3, Level 1, Level 2

This Course will cover:

  • Numbers e.g. Multiply, Divide, Ratio
  • Measure, Shape and Space e.g. Metric and Imperial, Symmetry
  • Data Handling e.g. Averages, Graphs

Functional Skills English

Levels: Entry Level 3, Level 1, Level 2

This Course will cover:

  • Reading e.g. Recognising different text
  • Writing e.g. Constructing informal or formal text, Using correct grammar
  • Speaking, Listening and Communication e.g. Understanding the main points, Following instructions

Functional Skills IT

Primed for Work Programme

Work Sector Support

Would you like help with improving your skills and knowledge in preparation for looking for work, going to an interview and starting employment?

We offer Free* employability support courses in our centre located in Exeter.  This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to write a CV, apply for job opportunities, develop your interview skills, and know how to be successful in the workplace.  

ETS work with employers who are looking to recruit staff to support there business growth. Following the completion of the Employability programme there may be opportunities to progress into employment.
