Category: Tags: ,

We are pleased to offer the AAT Advanced Certificate in Bookkeeping qualification. This qualification is ideal for those students who wish to develop their bookkeeping skills and knowledge to an advanced level and pursue a career in bookkeeping. This is a natural progression from the Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping to either help you gain employment into a bookkeeping role or onto further study.

This qualification allows you to focus solely on your bookkeeping skills but there is the option to move onto the full Advanced Diploma in Accounting to gain a wider knowledge of accountancy. The course is comprised of three mandatory modules:

  • Advanced Bookkeeping
  • Final Accounts Preparation
  • Indirect Tax

As you progress through this course, you will learn and understand advanced bookkeeping principles and concepts, preparation of financial statements for sole traders and partnerships, and issues around indirect tax (VAT), along with the ethical issues that a bookkeeper may encounter in their professional life.

Upon achieving your bookkeeping qualification, you can apply for qualified bookkeeper status with the AAT and achieve your AATQB letters. You can set yourself up as a self-employed bookkeeper or, alternatively choose from the following job roles: professional bookkeeper; senior bookkeeper; accounts manager; ledger manager.

ETS can arrange for our consultant, Emma Grant MAAT CPFA to contact you for further discussion and to assess which qualification is appropriate for you.
