Learning and Development Consultant Business Partner Apprenticeship Standard:

Functional Skills: Functional Skills in English and Maths
On programme duration: Minimum of 18 Months
Overview This program is for any sector where the individual is responsible for ensuring learning and development contributes and makes improvements to performance in the workplace at an individual, team and organisational level. Leading any L&D elements of projects.
What will my learning look like?
Knowledge: 10 work shops and 6–10 workbooks/assignments to cover theories and models that underpin adult learning and teaching approaches, legislation, diversity and inclusion, change management methodologies, consultancy tools, understanding business and stakeholders, learning and development structures, managing a budget, management of information and technology including handling data, awareness of emerging technologies
Skills (not an exhaustive list): Liaising with stakeholders to identify learning and development needs, analysing data, presenting solutions to stakeholders, developing organisational L&D plans, initiating designs, developing a learning culture by managing knowledge, evaluative quality of delivery, budget and resource management, building relationships with all levels within and outside the organisation, deliver effective and manage challenging behaviours.
Behaviours (not an exhaustive list): Critical thinking, actively developing self, acting as a role model, commercial understanding, challenge behaviours and systems, engaging and passionate deliverer.
End point Assessment:
Work Based Project with Professional Discussion:
Project report to be completed after Gateway, 5000–word count. Discussion will last 75 minutes and will consist of 10–12 questions.
Presentation and Q&A based on Learning Journal:
Learning Journal to be kept from the beginning of the apprenticeship and submitted at Gateway. Presentation is 25 minutes and cover an example from the Learning Journal that cover the required KSB’s. Q&A will last 35 minutes immediately after the presentation and will consist of 5–7 questions.
